Vedeta Relais is a small charming hotel near the medieval village of Scarlino, set on the hilltop of Poggio La Forcola, surrounded by acres of woodland and olive groves from where is possible to enjoy wonderful views of the countryside and the fresh sea air which carries over the Gulf of Follonica.
Vedetta is just 20 kms from Punta Ala and after 40 kms you can reach Piombino where a regular ferry service takes you to visit the Elba Island, a heaven of luxuriant nature and clear, uncontaminated sea. Owned by BeVedetta, it also offered a luxury seaview glamping.
The guest rooms are 6, all Junior Suites, whose names come from the memory of Anna Barberini, who chose between some of the protagonists of the stories when she was a little girl. Every detail in the Suites has been prepared with loving attention, in a careful melange between antique furnishings and elements of art design researched all over the world.
Each suite has a large king size bed (200 X 200 cm), big windows to enjoy the panoramic views, a sitting area with sofa or chairs, bathroom in stone and includes every type of comfort: air conditioning, wireless internet, satellite TV, hifi, dvx player, safe and minibar.
The common areas consist of a study with a library in 4 languages, and a beautiful lounge with fireplace, where is also a bar for guests. Outside there is a large portico, furnished with comfortable chairs and soft cushions, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sea view.
Breakfast is served until late morning to allow lazy people to enjoy the delights of the Maremma Region, and is made with local products from organically grown farms that surround the Relais. Homemade biscuits and seasonal fruits are always available in the living room to relax in front of the fireplace or patio overlooking the sea.
Guests can walk into the paths of the park or in the olive groves, but also enjoy the nearby beach taking advantage of a private set aside for each room, consisting of beach umbrella and two chairs.
